C4CPS Workshop at VTC2025-Spring

Prof. Ramón J. Durán Barroso (from the UVa team at ONOFRE-4), along Estefanía Coronado and Estela Carmona-Cejudo (i2CAT) and other collaborators, is co-organizing the IEEE Workshop on Converged Communication, Computing, and Control for Next-Generation Cyber-Physical Systems (C4CPS) at the 2025 IEEE 101st Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2025-Spring). VTC2025-Spring will be held in Oslo, Norway, 17 - 20 June 2025. This semi-annual flagship conference of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society will bring together individuals from academia, government, and industry to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of wireless, mobile, and vehicular technology.

The C4CPS workshops is soliciting contributions by 27 February 2025 in, but not necessarily limited to, the following topics:

  • Co-design of industrial wireless with industrial control and computing systems.
  • Communication, computing & control cross-layer optimization.
  • Optimal network scheduling, intelligent control algorithms and resource orchestration.
  • Communication & computing co-design for functional safety.
  • Service orchestration, provisioning, management.
  • Deterministic, ultra-reliable and low-latency communications.
  • Deterministic industrial networking.
  • Cross-layer communication, control, and computing system standardization.
  • Integration of AI/ML for automated and smart connectivity and supply chains.
  • Network softwarization architectures with embedded control and computing.
  • Integration of virtualization in control applications.
  • Secure, privacy-preserving CPSs.
  • AI-enabled automation of cloud/edge systems.
  • Integration of communication systems in asset administration shell.
  • Novel applications such as AI-enabled digital twins, augmented reality.
  • Zero-touch communication system management and configuration.
  • Data processing at the industrial network edge for latency sensitive operations.

Deadlines:

  • Workshop paper submission due: 27 February 2025
  • Workshop paper acceptance notification: 20 April 2025
  • Final paper submission: 4 May 2025
