Luz y Qubits - Mujeres en la Revolución Cuántica

On 19 March 2025, the workshop “Luz y Qubits: Mujeres en la Revolución Cuántica” (Light and Qubits: Women in the Quantum Revolution) was held online. The workshop consisted of a series of talks by women experts leading research, projects and developments in the field of quantum networks and QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) technology.
The talks and speakers were:
- “Ciberseguridad en la era cuántica: desafíos, oportunidades y estado del arte” (Cybersecurity in the quantum era: challenges, opportunities and state of the art.) by Vanesa Díaz (LuxQuanta)
- “Redes cuánticas en tierra y aire: hacia una ciberseguridad imbatible” (Quantum networks on the ground and in the air: towards unbeatable cybersecurity) by Verónica Fernández Marmol (CSIC)
- “Cómo los algoritmos optimizan las redes híbridas cuántico-clásicas para una conectividad del futuro” (How algorithms optimize hybrid quantum-classical networks for future connectivity) by Lidia Ruiz (Universidad de Valladolid)
Funded within the framework of the activities programmed by the Rector’s Delegation for University Social Responsibility on the occasion of the celebration of 8M 2025 at the Universidad de Valladolid, in collaboration with the ONOFRE-4 National Project (PID2023-148104OB-C41 funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and ERFD/EU).
